Weekend Recap!

I hope you all had a great weekend! We had a quiet weekend but busy as that's life with a 12 week old who wants to get the party started at 6 a.m. every morning.

On Friday Henry and I braved the mall as I wanted to take advantage of the summer sales to stock up on a few more basics. I was able to snag a ton of things at the JCrew Factory for less than $100! I know the quality isn't amazing but I do love the style and prices at the JCrew Factory Store. Even if they only last a season!

Boardwalk short
Linen-cotton chevron dress
Layering v-neck tee (I got it in 3 colours!)
On Saturday we had friends over for coffee and then just hung out around the house during nap time. While Henry is a fantastic night sleeper, nap time is turning into a bit of a struggle so I'm doing my best to be at home for at least 2 out of his 3 nap times. It doesn't always work out but where possible, I make it happen.

On Saturday night we watched Still Alice which was quite the emotional movie! I had read the book but wasn't prepared to see the story come to life on screen. Julianne Moore was fantastic and the entire story was quite moving.

On Sunday Henry woke up early and cranky. He cried his way through his morning nap so as soon as the gym daycare open we headed over to the club so that Henry could visit with the lovely daycare ladies and Mike and I could work out. We usually just take turns working out on weekends but we both needed a little break!

The rest of the day was spent brunching and spending time at the pool with family. It was so much fun to enjoy the weather and everyone slept well last night!

The MOST exciting thing that happened this weekend is that Henry started rolling over! He can roll from stomach to back and does it whenever he feels like it, just not when there are too many people watching. I can't believe how quickly my little monkey is growing!

Now that the weekend's over it is back to my usual Monday schedule - barre class, grocery shopping, meal prep and laundry. Plus the usual baby care!

If anyone is looking for any recipe inspiration we'll be eating the paleo spaghetti and meatballs from Against All Grain at least twice this week!

I hope you all have a great start to the week!
