On my mind Monday

This past weekend was filled with rain, naps and plenty of baby cuddles. I could have done with a little bit of sun but it was the perfect weekend to hang out at home in our comfies. 

It has been some time since I've shared a brain dump with you all and it sure seems like things are going 1,000 miles a minute!

I am still training for the half-marathon and to be honest, I'm really not into it. It's hard to find the time to do my long runs, I am craving more variety in my workouts and I am getting really bored with logging miles. The race is just a few weeks away and as of right now, I feel incredibly unprepared and unmotivated. I need a little kick in the pants, any tips?

Fall Wardrobe:

I have been spending a lot of time perusing shops online after sharing my plans for my fall capsule wardrobe. There are so many cute things out there, i.e. these leopard sneakers (!!)  but I'm trying to wait until I have my fall wardrobe vision in place. I better get moving as it was freezing here today!

Baby H + Solids!:

Henry's doctor suggested that we start him on solids ASAP so we hit the ground running on Friday. So far he seems to be loving it and while it is certainly a lot of work, I am happy to be feeding him more than just formula! 

There is a ton of information out there when it comes to feeding babies solids and I honestly think there is no right or wrong way to go about it, just plenty of opinions. We're taking a pretty conservative approach by starting with simple, single item purees. I hope to make my own food but we will see what happens. For the moment I am really enjoying the recipes from Baby Foodie.

I hope that you all had a great weekend and are looking forward to the week ahead. I will be back tomorrow with another post on postpartum fitness - it was been 4.5 months and I am finally feeling strong again!
