The Day My Life Changed

One year ago today I found out that I was pregnant! I remember feeling so shocked, despite the fact that September marked our 12th month of trying for a baby. I was so nervous to tell Mike and despite sweet plans of wrapping up a onesie, I basically ending up throwing the positive pregnancy test at him. So much for that sweet moment!

My first "bump" shot
The months that followed were filled with a mix of excitement and a fear of the unknown. Every ultrasound and OB appointment was met with anxiety and many questions. All I wanted was to have a healthy baby and I'm so lucky that my pregnancy was smooth, despite all my worries.

Once I hit the third trimester I started to relax, especially since Henry was a very active baby. He kicked all day and all night which was the best reminder of the amazing life that I had growing inside me.

Henry's nursery!
On April 22nd, I got into a fender-bender and despite the fact that Henry was bouncing like crazy, I felt it was best to get checked out. Little did I know that Henry would be born 24 hours later!

Life as a family of three is amazing and I'm so thankful to be Henry's mommy!

What a difference a year makes!

  2. I know I'm way behind, but CONGRATULATIONS!! Henry is so sweet. Love the matching outfits - funny I used to do that with my son as well, but never do it with my daughter. I think I must dress more like a stereotypical boy then haha!
